'Back Down South' (Framed)

Longhorns lounge near a country road winding further down south towards the city. The sun and sky; a symbol of peace after destruction. The longhorns; a symbol of what survived.

This painting was inspired by deadly storms that struck this area a few years ago. Specifically, a familiar road nearby and the impressions that it has made on me through the nature and quietude surrounding it. The title is literal but also a nod to my southern roots.
