As an artist my focus is, as one would reasonably assume, my paintings. Because of this, I have a personal limitation as to how active I am online.
I visited museums and galleries as a child and felt a special connection to the silence, clarity and thoughtfulness that those places held. Even now, many years later, I feel the same. The atmosphere on social sites feels the opposite of that.
In sharing my paintings online, I like to treat my pages as a kind of homage to the aforementioned — where those who are interested interact with what I paint in the same way that museum and gallery goers often do; from the privacy of their mind.
